Fiesta dinnerware, Harlequin pattern gravyboat
The Homer Laughlin China Company began production of Fiesta dinnerware in 1936. The Harlequin pattern was introduced in 1938 and continued production until 1964. It was a less expensive line of Fiesta sold by F. W. Woolworths. The design is distinctively art deco with the sharp lines and more "industrial" feel. This gravyboat is a rare find. Yellow...and it is very yellow...was a very popular color during the entire production of this line of table ware. This piece has a tiny chip on the lip of the bottom edge. See the photo. In addition it has a couple of dark marks in the interior of the bowl which will probably come off. They may, however, be part of the manufacturing process. This is a lovely gravyboat for any Fiesta collector. Fiesta is now and has always been manufactured in the United States. The length of the piece is 8 1/2' from spout to end of the handle, 4" wide and 3 1/4" tall. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have about this piece. Look at the photos as they are part of this offering's discription.
