Vintage Children's books: "Getting to Know...Nature's Children" Volumns 2, 3, 6 and supplement.
These educational books are about two animals each. Volume 2 is about Deer and Rabbits, Volume 3 tells about Raccoons and Owls, Volume 6 contains Canadian Goose and Grizzly Bears, and th e Supplement volume contains Chimpanzees and Lizards. Each book is divided into two sections, one for each listed animal. There are lovely illustrations throughout all of them. Discussion is had regarding what they eat, where they live and how, how they play and sleep, how they protect themselves and a host of additional information relating to each animal. All four of the books are about 45 to 50 pages in length with a shiny hard cover. See the pictures which are part of this discription. These four books are obviously part of a larger set...don't ask me what happened to the others! hey are copyrighted in 1985 by Grolier, Inc. These books are in surprisingly good condition. No marks, tears, repairs that I have found. They are offered as a set and may not be purchased seperately. For the child who loves animals, this partial set will offer hours upon hours of delightful education.
