Five pieces of vintage Greydawn china by Johnson Brothers made in England. From the 1890s to the 1960s Johnson Brothers was one of the most successful of the Staffordshire potteries and operated from 1968 to 2015 as part of the Wedgewood Group. The company ceased production in 2015. According to Wikipedia Johnson Brothers china won many awards including the Queen's Award to Industry for their contribution to the British economy. Although the name is Greydawn, the actual color is more or a blue-grey. The design is without decoration except for the scalloped edge This offering is for two 8 inch salad plates, one cup and saucer and one domed cover (this could be a lid to a small serving bowl but this researcher could not find any reference to this piece). Each piece has survived these 60+ years without a crack, chip, repair or blimish. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have.
Sizes: Salad plates...8 inches, dome cover...5 3/4 inches in diameter, approximately 3 inches tall, saucer...5 3/4 inches in diameter, 1 inch tall, cup...4 1/2 inches in diameter including handle, 2 1/2 inches tall.
