Edited by Akihiro Kasuya and printed by Shufunotomo Co., LTD. this is one of the first books I purchased when learning the art of Ikebana...not that I am particularly good at it. Using only the very best, most perfect blossoms, the Japanese art of flower arranging involves the artful placement of each flower in perfect perportion to the vase and any other appointments in the arrangement. Not only is this an instruction book, it is also a coffee table book and is loaded with beautiful pictures of professionally arranged ikebana examples. This book has been used very little inasmuch as I received another copy for my birthday that has seen much more ware. Do Not hesitate to ask any questions you might have. Did you know that the Japanese set aside a day each year to honor the blossoms that are discarded because they were not deemed pretty enough or perfect enough to be used in an arrangement? I think that is awsome!
